About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to electrical design packages for wind, solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects
- Take responsibility for assigned design tasks
- Deliver medium-voltage electrical designs, including underground cable design and cable sizing and optimisation
- Coordinate electrical designs with multidisciplinary project teams
- Resolve technical interfaces
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver integrated electrical designs for energy clients
- Apply practical engineering judgement across wind, solar and BESS projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant electrical engineering qualifications
- Experience delivering electrical designs for large-scale renewable generation projects, such as wind and solar farms
- Practical medium-voltage design experience, including underground cable design and cable sizing
- Experience contributing to electrical design packages
- Experience collaborating with civil engineers and other disciplines
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work effectively across project teams and delivery locations
- Exposure to battery energy storage systems (BESS) and their integration into renewable energy projects
- Background in consulting or with an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor
- Hands-on renewable generation project design experience
