About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support multidisciplinary projects by providing geotechnical design across feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction phases
  • Contribute to transport infrastructure, water infrastructure, dams, energy distribution and building projects
  • Manage and deliver small to medium-scale geotechnical investigations
  • Apply intermediate analysis using PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience and other tools
  • Provide input to client proposals and tenders
  • Support development of the Ground Engineering team and its growth and diversity objectives
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support business development
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders
  • Support workplace health and safety culture
  • Maintain knowledge of geotechnical and ground engineering developments
  • Participate in industry events and expand professional networks
  • Build interdisciplinary and client relationships and solve complex problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years’ geotechnical engineering experience
  • Readiness to apply for CPEng with Engineers Australia
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality designs and reports
  • Willingness to engage with clients and stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion to work collaboratively
  • Involvement in industry bodies such as AGS (desirable)
  • AGSVA security clearance eligibility is desirable, not mandatory
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate geotechnical analysis skills using tools such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio and Rocscience
  • Technical strength and commercial awareness
  • Passion for continuous learning
