About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support multidisciplinary projects by providing geotechnical design across feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction phases
- Contribute to transport infrastructure, water infrastructure, dams, energy distribution and building projects
- Manage and deliver small to medium-scale geotechnical investigations
- Apply intermediate analysis using PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Rocscience and other tools
- Provide input to client proposals and tenders
- Support development of the Ground Engineering team and its growth and diversity objectives
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support business development
- Coordinate with key stakeholders
- Support workplace health and safety culture
- Maintain knowledge of industry developments, participate in industry events and expand professional networks
- Build interdisciplinary and client relationships and solve complex problems
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6+ years’ geotechnical engineering experience
- Readiness to apply for CPEng with Engineers Australia
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality designs and reports
- Willingness to engage with clients and stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset and a passion to work collaboratively
- Involvement in industry bodies such as AGS (desirable)
- AGSVA security clearance eligibility is desirable, not mandatory
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical strength and commercial awareness
- Passion for continuous learning
