About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, coordination and documentation of specialist mechanical building services, focused on HVAC or hydraulic/plumbing systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on engineering solutions for high-rise buildings and mission-critical facilities
- Support large-scale Data Centre projects across Indonesia through mechanical systems design and implementation
- Provide technical expertise from concept and detailed design through construction support and commissioning
- Ensure the success of technical aspects of allocated or won projects
- Apply established methods and technical judgement to deliver work and resolve technical issues
- Implement and maintain mechanical engineering quality assurance processes
- Conduct site inspections to verify mechanical system installations against design specifications
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design calculations, reports, equipment specifications, progress updates and final deliverables
- Prepare accurate and complete proposal information
- Manage defined bid components
- Support client interactions, resolve queries and escalate issues where needed
- Maintain client relationships through consistent service and responsiveness
- Deliver projects and work packages within scope, milestones, budgets and delivery requirements
- Contribute to business planning as requested
- Demonstrate compliance with company policies, procedures, legislative requirements and Aurecon values
- Demonstrate safety leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years' relevant mechanical engineering consulting experience in the built environment sector
- Strong mechanical design experience, with demonstrated delivery of complex building services projects
- Experience delivering large-scale commercial, high-rise building and/or Data Centre projects
- Proven experience in mechanical system design, including HVAC, hydraulic/plumbing and associated building services systems
- Experience working within an engineering consultancy environment and delivering multidisciplinary projects
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with architects, structural, civil and electrical engineering teams
- Experience in Data Centres, telecommunications, mission-critical facilities or other complex infrastructure projects will be highly regarded
- Ability to apply critical thinking, technical expertise and creativity to solve complex engineering challenges
- Ability to comply with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements
- Safety leadership in all aspects of the business
