About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage projects from planning through to delivery
  • Ensure scope, cost, schedule and quality requirements are achieved
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, Aurecon resources, consultants and contractors
  • Build relationships with clients, Defence representatives, contractors and stakeholders
  • Manage project risks, issues, variations, budgets, schedules, documentation and quality requirements
  • Promote safety and maintain clear project communication
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learnt
  • Support delivery of important Defence projects across Australia

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tertiary qualification or demonstrated relevant professional experience such as coordinating people, projects, programs, events, or community initiatives
  • Experience managing small to medium-sized projects
  • Strong project management, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with project controls, including cost and schedule management
  • Understanding of quality assurance, risk management and contract management
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and WHS
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, matrix environment
  • Project management certification or relevant professional recognition is desirable
  • Defence experience is desirable but not essential
  • Familiarity with Defence security requirements, contract administration or commercial management would be advantageous
  • Collaborative, practical approach and comfort taking ownership of projects and building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
