About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead civil design delivery for complex mining, bulk materials handling and industrial infrastructure projects from feasibility through detailed design and construction support
- Create design solutions for site development, earthworks, roads, drainage, access infrastructure and operational facilities using Civil 3D and digital engineering tools
- Contribute to resources projects including CHPPs, train load-out facilities, conveyor networks, stockyards and materials handling infrastructure
- Collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical, process, electrical and geotechnical disciplines
- Drive model-based delivery, automation and data-centric design practices
- Mentor and develop designers and modellers locally and across Global Design Centres
- Conduct design reviews and provide constructability input
- Engage stakeholders and build trusted client relationships
- Support delivery of mining and industrial projects across Australia
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant engineering, design or drafting qualifications
- Experience delivering civil design solutions for mining, bulk materials handling, heavy industrial and infrastructure projects
- Advanced Civil 3D skills
- Expertise in earthworks, grading, drainage, corridors, site development and digital design delivery
- Strong background in roads, water management, hardstands and civil infrastructure within complex project environments
- Experience supporting sustaining capital, brownfield upgrades and expansion projects in operational mining and industrial facilities
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage project interfaces
- Passion for digital engineering, model-based delivery and innovative design practices
- Experience with ACC, Navisworks and integrated design coordination highly regarded
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to mentor developing professionals
- Collaborative, solutions-focussed mindset
- Ability to think strategically, challenge the status quo and deliver innovative, practical outcomes
