About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join sales calls as the technical subject matter expert for LPR and ASR
  • Handle product deep-dives, capability questions, and technical objections
  • Run technical discovery sessions covering customer environments, infrastructure, and integrations
  • Scope solutions and identify risks or constraints
  • Produce technical documentation, implementation plans, integration guides, hardware compatibility requirements, and site assessment summaries
  • Deliver tailored demonstrations of Auror Core, LPR, and ASR solutions
  • Design proof-of-concept scopes and success criteria with the Technical Project Management team
  • Track and report PoC outcomes and synthesise findings for Sales and internal stakeholders
  • Advise prospects and customers on system architecture, data handling, privacy, and integration pathways
  • Guide technical expansion requirements for camera rollouts, additional stores, and environment changes
  • Advise on camera placement, network configuration, lighting, and data flows
  • Translate customer technical requirements into briefs for Product and Deployment teams
  • Surface technical objections, capability gaps, and customer feedback to Product
  • Hand off technical context from PoC to live use with Customer Success
  • Act as the sales team’s technical backup throughout the deal cycle
  • Feed field insights into Sales enablement and product positioning
  • Collaborate with Technical Project Management to ensure successful deployments
  • Report to the Director of Solutions Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical implementation role involving facial recognition, LPR, CCTV, or physical security technology
  • Experience with facial recognition or subject recognition technology is a strong advantage
  • Ability to discuss IT infrastructure at a high level and assess fit with customer environments
  • Linux fundamentals or ability to assess Linux-related deployment requirements
  • Ability to assess mobile device compatibility requirements
  • Structured problem-solving approach, including methodical information gathering and root-cause identification
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and prioritise across multiple concurrent customers and opportunities
  • Ability to discuss data handling, retention policies, privacy, ethical technology use, and responsible AI
  • Self-starter who improves documentation and recurring processes
  • Working understanding of retail case management software and Auror’s risk-detection value
  • Strong alignment with Auror’s Guiding Principles
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
