About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join sales calls as the technical subject matter expert for LPR and ASR
- Handle product deep-dives, capability questions, and technical objections
- Run technical discovery sessions covering customer environments, infrastructure, and integration requirements
- Scope solutions and identify risks or constraints early
- Produce technical documentation and implementation plans, including integration guides, hardware compatibility requirements, and site assessment summaries
- Deliver tailored demonstrations of Auror’s Core product and LPR/ASR solutions
- Design proof-of-concept scopes and success criteria with the Technical Project Management team
- Track and report PoC outcomes and synthesize findings for Sales and internal stakeholders
- Advise prospects and customers on system architecture, data handling, privacy, and integration pathways
- Guide customers through expansion requirements involving cameras, stores, placement, network configuration, lighting, and data flows
- Translate customer technical requirements into briefs for Product and Deployment teams
- Surface technical objections, capability gaps, and customer feedback to Product
- Partner with Customer Success during PoC-to-live handoffs and ongoing technical needs
- Act as the Sales team’s technical backup throughout the deal cycle
- Feed field insights into Sales enablement materials and product positioning
- Collaborate with Technical Project Management to ensure successful deployments
- Serve as the ongoing technical escalation point as deployments ramp up
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical implementation involving facial recognition, LPR, CCTV, or physical security technology
- Experience with facial recognition or subject recognition technology is a strong advantage
- Ability to discuss IT infrastructure at a high level and assess technology fit within customer environments
- Linux fundamentals or ability to assess Linux-related deployment requirements
- Ability to assess mobile device compatibility requirements
- Structured problem-solving approach, including methodical information gathering and root-cause identification
- Ability to manage ambiguity and prioritize across multiple concurrent customers and opportunities
- Ability to discuss data handling, retention policies, privacy, ethical technology use, and responsible AI
- Self-starter who improves documentation and recurring-question workflows
- Working understanding of retail case management software and how Auror drives value through risk detection
- Strong alignment with Auror’s Guiding Principles
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; Auror is unable to offer visa sponsorship
