About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and operate the new generation of Aurora’s software-as-a-service solutions
  • Work closely with internal users and product experts to innovate highly effective solutions
  • Contribute to continuously improving how the Software Engineering team works
  • Build innovative cloud-based software solutions powering major decisions in the global energy transition
  • Turn features and product ideas shaping global energy markets into reality
  • Work across the full software stack, including frontend, backend, and CI/CD processes
  • Take responsibility for solutions from design to deployment in collaboration with engineers and energy domain experts
  • Initiate updates to customers multiple times per day using modern processes and tooling

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong background in developing complex solutions involving some of: NodeJS, TypeScript, Express, Python, SQL, NoSQL, React, Cloud Infrastructure, and automated testing
  • Academic and/or personal track record for delivering great software and solving difficult technical problems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Recent graduate
  • Must have, or be able to secure and maintain, appropriate right to work in the UK
  • Graduate Software Engineer roles are usually not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship
  • Numerical assessments, CV review, first-round interviews, and assessment centre are part of the assessment process
