About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead nurse call installations on new construction and replacement projects from planning through commissioning
  • Spend regular time on site and coordinate subcontractors, installers and internal teams
  • Walk job sites, inspect work and resolve problems before they cause delays
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, contractors and vendors
  • Represent Austco at site meetings and provide regular customer updates
  • Handle challenging conversations while protecting customer relationships and project delivery
  • Collaborate daily with Technical Service, Sales and CAD teams
  • Track RFIs, change orders, drawings and closeout packages
  • Maintain installation checklists and as-built drawings
  • Follow site-specific protocols, healthcare regulations and industry standards
  • Track project budgets and control costs
  • Manage monthly revenue forecasts and invoicing through SimPro
  • Report project status monthly for internal reporting
  • Apply knowledge of low voltage systems, structured cabling and basic networking, including IP addressing and subnetting
  • Review system designs and installation drawings for accuracy
  • Ensure installations meet US electrical codes and healthcare communication standards
  • Travel regularly to job sites across the US

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years managing low voltage, electronic security, healthcare technology, communications or nurse call installation projects, ideally in a construction environment
  • Hands-on experience with structured cabling, low voltage systems, system commissioning, field installation and job site coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documentation
  • Experience with SimPro or similar project management, scheduling, costing or field service software
  • Strong customer communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Experience with one or more of: nurse call, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, RTLS, intercom, audiovisual, BMS, fire alarm or other low voltage building technologies
  • Ability to manage 12 to 30 concurrent projects of varying size and complexity
  • Familiarity with nurse call systems such as Austco, Rauland or Hillrom
  • Knowledge of US building and electrical codes
  • Comfortable on a job site and confident with tools and trades
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Financial awareness
  • Comfortable adopting and using AI tools in day-to-day workflows
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Flexible schedule to fit project needs, including early or late site visits
  • Certifications such as PMP or CCNA are a plus, not required
