About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Unpack shippers and log data into Lifeblood systems
  • Process and separate blood components
  • Separate and store red cells
  • Freeze and store plasma components
  • Load and unload the rapid plasma freezer
  • Participate in standard equipment setup, maintenance and cleaning with training, supervision and support
  • Maintain commitment to quality systems, quality control measures and their application
  • Aid in the sufficient and safe provision of blood, plasma and biological products

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend and twist to operate different platforms
  • Experience working to standard operating procedures in a regulated production environment
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with a collaborative working style
  • Ability to participate in varied shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster
  • Experience in a scientific laboratory would be advantageous but is not essential
