About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own complex platform work involving permissions, authentication, enterprise integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and API management
  • Work with engineering leadership to design platform capabilities

  • Translate engineering pain points into infrastructure solutions
  • Lead infrastructure code reviews
  • Define SLOs
  • Improve observability, automated testing, and deployment safety
  • Use Cursor and Claude to automate infrastructure toil
  • Define AI-first patterns for platform engineering, including AI-assisted runbooks and automated incident triage

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of professional experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering
  • Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, networking, and cloud architecture
  • Proven track record designing and operating reliable, scalable infrastructure, including service meshes, internal tooling, and developer-facing APIs or abstractions
  • Deep understanding of secrets management, network policies, IAM models, and supply chain security
  • History of high-quality infrastructure-as-code and runbooks
  • Experience building self-service systems that reduce toil for the entire engineering organization
  • Hands-on AWS experience with ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC design, Parameter Store, and modern IaC tooling such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK
  • Experience building internal platforms, golden paths, or self-service deployment tooling
  • Previous work in compliance-heavy environments such as GovTech, FinTech, or HealthTech; FedRAMP, SOC 2, or HIPAA experience
  • Experience owning SLOs/SLAs, logging/metrics/tracing stacks such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry, and incident response
  • Previous experience at a company in the $5M–$30M ARR range
