About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Report to the Information Security Manager
Support internal business systems and the SaaS product
Work with the internal team and parent company to maintain high security standards and continually improve cyber security practices
Understand and enhance technical aspects of the technology business function, wider organisation, and suppliers
Prioritise and manage remediation of vulnerability findings for the SaaS platform
Implement and oversee vulnerability management programmes to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks
Own cyber security aspects of the ISO27001 Information Security Management System
Manage cyber security compliance with company metrics, policies, standards, and obligations
Deliver cyber security training, awareness, and communications
Host and attend internal and parent-company cyber security meetings and workshops
Develop and maintain cyber security policies, standards, and procedures
Operate and manage cyber security assurance tools and technologies and the security operations centre
Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota

Requirements

What you’ll need

2 years + experience in a cyber-security role
Working knowledge of technical and cyber security standards
Working knowledge of industry best practices, such as NIST Framework, OWASP Top Ten, SANS and NCSC Guidance
Technical knowledge of information systems, infrastructure, and networks
Experience with security monitoring and testing technologies, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, SIEM and IDS
Experience with vulnerability management tools and processes, such as Rapid7 and Wiz
Experience operating with and to the ISO27001 standard
Cloud computing cyber security assurance experience with Azure/Office 365
Participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota
Ability to work 9am–5pm, Monday–Friday
Hybrid working in the Manchester city centre office, with a 50% split
