About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead financial planning and forecasting across the business
Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, scenario planning, and departmental decision-making
Drive finance projects from start to finish, including data validation, modeling, variance investigation, and solution implementation
Manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
Oversee crypto and fiat transactions, payments, and settlements with the treasury team
Maintain and refine systems for expense management, equity and compensation plans, travel arrangements, and accounts payable
Serve as a financial liaison among engineering, compliance, business development, legal, and accounting teams
Align financial processes with workforce planning in collaboration with People Operations and Human Resources
Track and report key financial and operational metrics
Analyze trends and variances and flag business risks and opportunities
Improve financial processes and systems and support automation initiatives
Prepare and present board meeting and strategic update materials with the C-suite
Create clear financial presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Support corporate development activities, including entity spinouts, divestitures, asset sales, investments, acquisitions, and strategic transactions
Support tax planning and compliance efforts
Review financial terms of contracts and agreements with the legal department
Communicate financial insights and risks to the CFO and stakeholders
Report to the CFO

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA or BS in Finance or Accounting
Extensive experience in finance within the digital assets or fintech sector
Proven track record in cryptocurrency management, international payments, and trading platforms
Experience in investment banking, corporate development, and fast-paced startup environments is highly valued
Advanced financial modeling and analytics skills
Comfortable working with large datasets
Solid understanding of P&L, balance sheets, cash flow management, and general accounting principles
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous requests into concrete deliverables with minimal supervision
Ability to mentor or oversee junior finance team members
Strong attention to detail and ability to think strategically
Ability to solve problems under deadlines
Must be able to work in the United States without restrictions or sponsorship as applicable
