Key responsibilities & impact

Join the Tech Foundation team as an embedded engineer dedicated to theHunter: Call of the Wild
Work within the Apex Connect team alongside cloud engineers, DevOps, and backend developers
Lead the integration between Apex Connect and theHunter: Call of the Wild
Develop and maintain high-performance, player-facing backend services supporting millions of active players
Design and build the next generation of backend services
Balance hands-on programming with technical strategy
Work alongside senior developers to shape long-term architectural roadmaps
Take ownership of core backend domains
Foster collaboration across teams and key stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 5+ years of professional backend programming experience
Strong knowledge of backend programming in Go, Python, and C#
Extensive experience with storage technologies such as MySQL, NoSQL, Redis, or Memcache
Extensive experience running services in commercial clouds or Kubernetes
Strong technical excellence, functionality, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written English
Experience in the video game industry is a bonus, not required
Knowledge of JavaScript and C++ is a bonus
Previous work with high availability solutions is a bonus
Passion for gaming is a bonus
CV provided in English
Willingness to work from the Stockholm office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
