About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own end-to-end technical delivery of .NET applications, including technical design, build, code quality, testing, release and production readiness
Lead a team of four to five engineers through work allocation, code and design reviews, unblocking and delivery quality
Design and develop applications hands-on in C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Core, Web API, microservices and service integrations
Lead migration and modernisation of legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET Core / modern .NET
Apply LLM-based development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code across the development lifecycle
Build and run CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
Define and enforce engineering standards for branching, pull requests, code reviews, testing, static analysis and security scanning
Design and optimise data access and database interaction using SQL Server or Azure SQL and Entity Framework Core
Work with cloud and platform teams on Azure deployment architecture, including App Service, Functions, containers, AKS, Key Vault, configuration and secrets
Troubleshoot performance, reliability and production issues and drive root-cause fixes
Run technical design discussions with architects, business analysts and client technical stakeholders
Plan and estimate work with the project manager and report technical progress and risk
Mentor and uplift engineers on .NET, engineering practice and AI-assisted development; support hiring and technical interviews
Contribute reusable components, templates, pipeline accelerators and reference implementations to the practice IP library
Support presales through technical approaches, effort estimation and client technical discussions

Requirements

What you’ll need

8–10 years of overall experience in application development, with a substantial recent focus on Microsoft .NET
Deep hands-on expertise in C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core / modern .NET, including ASP.NET Core, Web API, dependency injection, asynchronous programming and design patterns
Proven experience migrating .NET Framework applications to .NET Core / modern .NET
Hands-on experience using LLM-based coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code in real project delivery
Experience leading a team of four to five engineers on delivery
Strong Azure DevOps capability, including multi-stage YAML pipelines, build and release pipelines, environments, approvals, artifact management and continuous delivery
Solid Git discipline, including branching strategy, pull requests and meaningful code review
Strong grounding in SQL Server or Azure SQL and Entity Framework Core, including performance tuning
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating with external systems
Working knowledge of Azure application services, including App Service, Functions, Key Vault, storage and application monitoring
Experience with automated testing
Strong communication skills, including technical discussions with client stakeholders and translating technical risk into plain language
Based in Bengaluru or Delhi NCR, or willing to relocate
