About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop backend solutions using Node.js and TypeScript
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for API publishing, promotion, and rollback
Build reusable workflows and custom actions in GitHub Actions
Implement and maintain APIs and policies in Azure API Management (APIM)
Define and apply API versioning, governance, and automation standards
Implement automated validation of OpenAPI contracts, policies, and regression tests
Automate integrations with Azure and GitHub management APIs
Structure release, rollback, and environment promotion strategies
Participate in API migrations between API Gateway platforms
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define best practices for architecture, security, and development
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements applicable to API environments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience in backend development using Node.js and TypeScript
Experience creating and maintaining REST APIs
Advanced knowledge of GitHub Actions and building CI/CD pipelines in corporate environments
Experience with reusable workflows (workflow_call), composite actions, matrix strategies, job dependencies, concurrency groups, and output propagation
Experience creating custom actions using TypeScript
Knowledge of the @actions/core and @actions/github packages
Experience with unit testing using Jest or equivalent tools
Strong command of the Node.js ecosystem and dependency management with npm
Experience with Azure API Management (APIM), including policies, products, subscriptions, versioning, revisions, named values, backends, and certificates
Knowledge of related Azure services, including Microsoft Entra ID, Key Vault, networking, and monitoring
Experience with infrastructure as code
Knowledge of OpenAPI and API governance
Experience with Git, version control, and code governance best practices
Knowledge of API authentication and security, including certificates, OAuth, and mTLS
Experience configuring GitHub Environments, secrets, variables, and federated authentication via OIDC for Azure
Availability to work in a hybrid model, with on-site presence in São Paulo three times per week
Preferred qualifications: Experience with Apigee
Preferred qualifications: Experience with migration projects between API Gateway platforms
Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of APIOps
Preferred qualifications: Experience with the Azure API Management DevOps Resource Kit or equivalent tools
Preferred qualifications: Experience in backend development with Spring Boot
Preferred qualifications: Experience in Open Finance and Open Insurance environments
