About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical leadership on client projects
  • Shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts
  • Design and implement Microsoft Purview solutions for catalog, classification, lineage, and access governance
  • Define governance standards, metadata models, and stewardship workflows
  • Integrate Purview with Azure, Databricks, Postgres, and other platforms
  • Partner with business and engineering teams to drive governance adoption and resolve issues
  • Establish data governance practices, reusable patterns, and governance operating processes
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues
  • Translate complex technical concepts into audience-appropriate language and value-based outcomes
  • Lead development of data and analytics platforms, real-time intelligence, and reporting solutions using Python, SQL, Microsoft Azure Data Services, Fabric, and Databricks
  • Incorporate relevant advancements in Data and AI technologies into solutions
  • Identify and execute cross-industry solutions at scale, including data migration, automation migration, visualization/reporting, and data platform modernization and governance
  • Drive growth across the Data & AI Solution Area
  • Integrate Data & AI into other Global Solution Areas and go-to-market initiatives
  • Drive managed services and multi-year Data & AI engagements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Purview governance features, including integration with other tools
  • Experience creating technical visions, high-level architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs, particularly focused on Data Governance
  • Experience in Data, Applied Intelligence, Automation, IoT, and related technologies
  • Awareness of go-to-market channels and Microsoft and partner ecosystems
  • Understanding of responsible data platform and migration principles, practices, and regulatory frameworks
  • Capability to create design artifacts and present them at architectural forums
  • In-depth understanding of structured and unstructured data analysis, streaming data, IoT, AI, GenAI, and related analytics
  • Experience designing and delivering large-scale Data Platform solutions using Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Fabric, Cloud Scale Analytics, and related approaches
  • Understanding of performance, security, and reliability architectural characteristics
  • Experience leading sales and business development opportunities
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, or machine learning, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven success in consultative or complex technical sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications
  • Extensive experience with large complex enterprise accounts, cloud solutions for data estate workloads, and large-scale data projects in cloud environments
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence remote teams
