About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, implement, and maintain automated backend and frontend tests
Create, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks using Robot Framework and Python
Develop test strategies, plans, scenarios, and cases, ensuring application coverage and quality
Execute functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) tests
Automate testing of web interfaces, REST/SOAP APIs, and microservices
Validate APIs using Postman, Insomnia, or similar tools
Identify, investigate, document, and report defects
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to quality from refinement through delivery
Monitor deployments and perform validations outside regular business hours when necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience developing test strategies, plans, cases, scenarios, and evidence
Proven experience in test automation and framework development
Proficiency in Robot Framework and Python
Experience automating interface, API, and integrated-flow testing
Experience testing frontend (web) and backend systems (REST/SOAP APIs and microservices)
Experience with functional, regression, exploratory, integration, E2E, and non-functional testing
Knowledge of automation best practices, code organization, component reuse, parameterization, and report generation
Experience using Git for version control
Knowledge and experience using Azure DevOps for backlog management, planning, traceability, and test execution
Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
Analytical skills for defect investigation and identification
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams
Availability to monitor deployments and perform validations outside regular business hours when necessary
Knowledge of automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of code quality and static analysis tools
Experience with containers and virtualized environments (Docker)
Experience with performance testing using JMeter, K6, or similar tools
Knowledge of usability (UX) and accessibility testing
Knowledge of distributed systems architecture, microservices, and messaging
Experience in high-criticality environments, e-commerce, payment systems, or transactional systems
