Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong command of Java Backend/JVM, legacy applications, debugging, and library management
Hands-on experience remediating AppSec vulnerabilities, including code injection and insecure deserialization
Experience with Maven/Gradle, transitive dependency analysis, mvn dependency:tree, dependencyManagement, and excluding vulnerable libraries
Experience configuring, running, maintaining, and troubleshooting Java Batch
Knowledge of Java version upgrades and compatibility analysis between Java 8 and newer versions
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, application execution, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and familiarity with delivery pipelines
Experience migrating from Java 8 to Java 21
Knowledge of Rancher
Experience with Checkmarx or similar tools
Experience with CI/CD and automation
Previous experience as an AppSec Engineer or Senior Java Developer with a focus on security
Use of AI tools in development and vulnerability remediation
