Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring
Design and evolve REST APIs and microservices
Develop synchronous and asynchronous integrations
Contribute to scalable, highly available and secure solutions
Write unit and integration tests and maintain high code quality
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Analyse logs, troubleshoot issues and continuously improve existing solutions
Work on a long-term project in the Polish banking sector
Contribute to the development and evolution of distributed systems and microservices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong commercial experience with Java, ideally Java 17/21
Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA and Spring Security
Experience with Hibernate / JPA
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server
Experience designing and developing REST APIs
Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, JMS or RabbitMQ
Hands-on experience with microservices
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift
Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle and CI/CD
Experience with unit and integration testing
Understanding of application security, scalability and high-availability systems
Fluent Polish / Polish at B2+/C1 level
Experience in banking, financial services or transactional systems is nice-to-have
Knowledge of payment processes is nice-to-have
Experience with SonarQube, Nexus or Artifactory is nice-to-have
