About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and integrate production-grade AI applications based on modern Large Language Models
- Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities
- Implement AI solutions in collaboration with customers and business departments
- Work embedded in customer teams one to three days per week, and full-time during intensive phases
- Deliver a wide range of AI use cases for companies across different industries
- Integrate ERP, CRM, SharePoint, databases, and APIs into AI-powered workflows
- Design and implement intelligent agents, RAG systems, and automated business processes
- Develop prototypes and transition them into stable, secure production environments
- Evaluate use cases based on effort and impact
- Define success criteria and demonstrate the value delivered by the solutions
- Feed customer experience, requirements, and technical insights into VUSYON’s product development
- Enable customers to independently use and further develop the solutions
- Help shape and, over time, build the Forward Deployed Engineering team
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer or Software Engineer
- Ideally, experience with Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini
- Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and AI agents
- Experience with REST APIs, data integration, and modern cloud architectures
- Knowledge of Docker, Git, and modern development tools
- Interest in AI-assisted development, for example with Cursor or Claude Code
- Basic understanding of IT security, data protection, and enterprise architectures, particularly the GDPR and EU AI Act
- Ability to communicate with developers, managing directors, and business departments
- Ability to identify business problems and translate them into technical solutions
- Independent, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Enjoy working directly with customers
- Ideally, initial experience in a customer-facing role, such as consulting, solutions engineering, or a startup environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple customer projects in parallel
- Curiosity and an active interest in emerging AI technologies
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites
- Excellent communication skills in German and, ideally, English
