About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team creating communication and multimedia products for internal and external audiences
- Develop responses, provide planning, manage, and brief findings for Congressional, DoD, government agency, media, industry, and audit inquiries
- Coordinate with the Program Executive Office public affairs officer to facilitate communications among media, squadrons, industry partners, NAVAIR IPTs, and other agencies
- Create, maintain, and implement communications plans
- Advise leadership on program messaging
- Produce internal and external stakeholder communications using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and other industry software
- Craft briefs, communications plans, crisis media response plans, media query responses, key messages, press releases, feature articles, award packages, talking points, speeches, and social media posts
- Support public relations through leadership interview preparation, media training, event planning and coordination, protocol activities, and public-image initiatives
- Design multimedia products including infographics, illustrations, logos and branding, web content, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, publications, fact sheets, photography, digital image editing, museum-quality wall displays, and tradeshow displays
- Collaborate with creative professionals through peer reviews, professional resource sharing, and continuing education sessions
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- Ten years of combined experience performing the listed responsibilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and other current industry software
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment or autonomously
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical project schedules
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Desired: Two years of experience supporting NAVAIR
