About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze and assess fraud and AML alerts, including detailed review of client records and account activity
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including other financial institutions
  • Document investigation actions and information reviewed to maintain case files
  • Draft complete and concise investigation reports and regulatory filings
  • Remediate fraudulent or suspicious activity according to regulatory and internal policies
  • Identify opportunities to enhance internal policies, procedures, and controls through fraud case analysis and business process review
  • Monitor high-risk clients
  • Provide fraud and AML guidance and clarify requirements to stakeholders
  • Support compliance initiatives as needed
  • Report to the Manager AML Compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years experience in a securities dealer environment
  • Experience in a fraud, AML or compliance role is an asset
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and investigation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Proven ability to build and develop mutually beneficial relationships at all levels
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS), Certified Financial Crimes Investigator (CFCI), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset
  • Strong communication skills in English are required, both verbal and written
  • Bilingual skills in French are an asset
