About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish, maintain, and manage contract databases and other repositories with the Director, Legal Services
  • Review and draft simple contractual documents
  • Support contract management, execution, and follow-up
  • Conduct research on legal matters and in public registries
  • Organize, coordinate, and monitor certain projects within the Legal Department
  • Support the management of the company’s insurance programs, including tracking certificates of insurance
  • Participate in administering the group’s corporate governance, including drafting resolutions, maintaining minute books, and completing provincial registrations
  • Monitor legislative developments on matters relevant to the company
  • Perform any other duties related to the paralegal/legal technician role and the company’s emerging needs
  • Serve the three companies within the Avex group under the direction of the Director, Legal Services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written, is essential
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills
  • Diligence and attention to detail
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in all tasks
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Certificate in Legal Techniques or a degree in Law (an asset)
