About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own architecture, integration, development, and validation of sophisticated multi-radio systems for mission-critical connected hardware
- Define how multiple wireless technologies coexist within highly integrated, battery-powered devices
- Own radio hardware decisions from chipset and component selection through schematic design, PCB implementation, bring-up, RF validation, certification, and mass production
- Own board-level implementation and integration of radio chipsets and associated circuitry across LMR, LTE/cellular, and broadband wireless technologies
- Translate system and product requirements into radio hardware architectures and evaluate system-level tradeoffs
- Develop and review schematics and PCB implementations for RF transceivers, modems, front-end components, power circuitry, control interfaces, and supporting digital electronics
- Design and validate multi-radio systems addressing coexistence, desense, interference, isolation, harmonics, spurious emissions, grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC
- Solve hardware challenges integrating regulated LMR frequencies with cellular and other wireless technologies
- Partner with RF, antenna, mechanical, industrial design, firmware, systems, and manufacturing teams
- Lead radio hardware bring-up, characterization, and root-cause analysis
- Drive radio hardware through verification, regulatory and carrier certification, EVT/DVT/PVT, manufacturing ramp, and mass production
- Provide technical direction while working with chipset vendors, external design partners, ODMs/JDMs, and internal engineering teams
