About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own electrical design, development, and validation of complex, highly integrated hardware for mission-critical connected devices
- Lead hardware lifecycle activities from system architecture and component selection through schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, validation, certification, and mass production
- Design high-density, mixed-signal electronics integrating processors, memory, power management, battery systems, wireless radios, and high-speed interfaces
- Own mixed-signal schematic design across processors, microcontrollers, memory, power management, battery charging, RF modules, sensors, and high-speed digital interfaces
- Drive high-density PCB designs through architecture, layout, and release, including stack-up, placement, routing, grounding, and design reviews
- Design for signal and power integrity across high-speed interfaces, analog circuitry, power rails, and mixed-signal systems
- Lead component selection, power-tree design, battery/charging architecture, calculations, derating, and electrical tradeoff analysis
- Partner with Mechanical and Industrial Design on board shape, connectors, antennas, thermal performance, and form factor
- Lead board bring-up, characterization, validation, and root-cause analysis using laboratory equipment
- Own BOMs, documentation, verification, manufacturing test requirements, and readiness through EVT/DVT/PVT, certification, and mass production
- Provide technical direction and design review support to electrical engineers and external design partners
- Establish scalable electrical engineering standards and best practices
