About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and manage client relationships while expanding the non-recourse Commercial Real Estate lending platform
- Originate, structure, and close loans across multifamily, condominiums, industrial, and hospitality asset classes
- Structure, underwrite, and close complex non-recourse lending transactions
- Serve as lead relationship manager for sponsors, developers, and institutional investors
- Conduct credit due diligence, financial modeling, and risk analysis for underwriting and transaction approval
- Prepare and present detailed credit memoranda to internal credit committees
- Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and overall credit risk
- Maintain understanding of market conditions, regulatory developments, and competitive positioning in non-recourse lending
- Collaborate with legal, risk, capital markets, and operations teams on deal execution and servicing
- Drive business development and strategic client coverage to grow assets under management and fee income
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial lending, investment banking, or structured finance, with a focus on non-recourse or project-based lending
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex credit relationships and originating new business
- Deep understanding of credit risk, collateral structures, legal documents, and non-recourse financing frameworks
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Strong analytical capabilities, including advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
- Successfully pass a credit check, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening, including screening for marijuana
- Must satisfy employment eligibility verification requirements in the United States
