About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and maintain Exchange Server 2016/2019 and Exchange Online environments
Manage hybrid Exchange deployments, including mail flow, connectors, and coexistence configurations
Troubleshoot complex messaging issues across Outlook, OWA, and EWS in enterprise environments
Lead large-scale cross-tenant, cutover, and public folder migrations
Implement email security, compliance, and governance frameworks including DMARC, DKIM, and SPF
Collaborate with Active Directory, DNS, and Microsoft 365 integration teams
Operate Microsoft Purview compliance for messaging, including retention and records policies, DLP, sensitivity-label enforcement, eDiscovery, audits, and legal holds
Support Axpo’s secure, reliable, and future-ready collaboration, messaging, and compliance landscape

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong expertise in Microsoft 365
Relevant Microsoft certification ideally, such as MS-203 or SC-401
Experience with on-premises Exchange infrastructures
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Azure
Knowledge of Microsoft Purview and compliance policies
Understanding of IT security considerations in Microsoft Cloud Services
Risk-based approach to security by design
Experience with migration tools such as Quest or BitTitan is a plus
Proficient written and spoken English
German is a plus, but not required
Strong communication and team-oriented mindset
User-centric approach to supporting the cloud journey
