Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and test ML models for specific use cases in the energy sector
Work with time-series data from industrial facilities
Develop models for asset monitoring, pattern recognition, and forecasting changes over time
Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines using Python, Spark, and SQL
Contribute to improving development processes
Engage directly with colleagues in operations to derive suitable solutions
Document results and share knowledge within the team
Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team of software developers, data scientists, and engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid understanding of fundamental ML models, such as decision trees, boosting, and linear models
Knowledge of statistical methods
Ideally, experience with time-series models and large datasets
Strong Python skills
Knowledge of Spark and SQL is a plus
Basic understanding of code, data, and model versioning, such as Git, CI/CD, and MLflow, or willingness to learn
Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, or a related field; a background in mechanical or electrical engineering is welcome
Fluent in German and English
Curiosity, willingness to challenge existing solutions, and eagerness to learn
