About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide layered leadership for the day-to-day operations of enterprise infrastructure environments
- Ensure system availability, performance, security, and scalability
- Partner with DevOps, Engineering, Security, and other teams to execute infrastructure strategies and technology initiatives
- Oversee cloud, server, storage, virtualization, and network infrastructure operations
- Direct infrastructure modernization efforts, including automation, monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization
- Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, policies, procedures, and operational best practices
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead business continuity, disaster recovery, backup, and resilience planning initiatives
- Manage change management processes and operational governance
- Manage vendor relationships, service providers, contracts, software licensing, and infrastructure spending
- Monitor infrastructure performance metrics and service levels and identify improvement opportunities
- Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution for critical infrastructure services
- Build, mentor, and develop infrastructure professionals through coaching, performance management, and career development
- Manage infrastructure budgets and resource planning
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required
- Master's degree preferred
- Advanced certifications such as ITIL, public cloud certifications, or related infrastructure certifications preferred
- 8+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, operations, or systems administration
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing infrastructure teams and driving large-scale technology initiatives with a hands-on leadership approach
- Experience supporting cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems, networking, and virtualization technologies
- Demonstrated success leading infrastructure projects and operational improvements in complex environments
- Knowledge of infrastructure security practices, compliance requirements, and risk management
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Ability to work in the Dallas office, as this is not a remote position
- Must be legally authorized to work in and currently reside in the United States
