About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee the Company’s core accounting operations
  • Maintain the integrity of accounting systems and the general ledger
  • Own corporate and intercompany accounting, including corporate credit facility, interest rate swaps, and lease accounting
  • Partner with Project Accounting, Financial Reporting, FP&A, Tax, and operational teams on timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Own intercompany billing and intercompany loan accounting; support elimination entries and consolidated close
  • Oversee corporate debt accounting, interest allocation, derivative journal entries, lease accounting, and fixed asset accounting
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Ensure accurate financial transactions, journal entries, chart of accounts, and general ledger structure
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations, supporting schedules, unusual fluctuations, and variances
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment
  • Support financial reporting, annual audits, and tax and regulatory reporting
  • Own the procure-to-pay process, accounts payable operations, vendor payment review and approval
  • Manage cash accounting, bank reconciliations, cash transactions, liquidity, and daily cash movements
  • Lead ERP, accounting-tool automation, process improvement, and scalability initiatives
  • Develop and standardize accounting policies, procedures, and workflows
  • Leverage technology and AI-enabled solutions to improve accuracy and productivity
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team as the organization grows
  • Report to the VP, Accounting and Reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Active CPA license
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
  • Experience in multi-entity environments, including consolidations, intercompany accounting, and elimination entries
  • Experience managing the month-end close process and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience overseeing accounts payable and cash accounting functions
  • Track record of implementing process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, Coupa, or similar ERP and procurement platforms preferred
  • Experience with FloQast or similar close management and reconciliation platforms preferred
  • Experience in real estate, infrastructure, or renewable energy industries preferred
  • Ability to work in the United States
