About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain robust, scalable APIs to support legacy and new systems
Implement and optimize the API Gateway for service integration
Migrate legacy systems to a modern microservices architecture
Integrate backend services with relational and non-relational databases
Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Python
Implement queueing systems such as BullMQ or similar technologies for asynchronous processing
Use Redis or similar technologies for caching and queueing system support
Ensure the consistency and integrity of data transferred between systems
Document algorithms and development processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Knowledge of Node.js with Express and/or NestJS
Experience with microservices architecture and API Gateways, preferably KrakenD
Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB)
Knowledge of Python for automation and ETL
Experience with queueing systems such as BullMQ or similar technologies
Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) tools
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitHub Flow
