About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support supplier monitoring and development
- Assist with analyzing supplier quality, lead time, productivity, and performance indicators
- Support the monitoring of action plans and improvements agreed upon with suppliers
- Assist with process mapping and identifying improvement opportunities
- Support the implementation of management and quality tools, such as checklists, 5W2H, action plans, Ishikawa diagrams, and performance indicators
- Assist in identifying and analyzing nonconformities, rework, and recurring quality issues
- Support training, development, and onboarding initiatives for new suppliers
- Assist in preparing and updating manuals, procedures, presentations, and guidance materials for the production chain
- Track schedules, outstanding items, and deadlines for development projects
- Consolidate information and assist in preparing management reports and presentations
- Support projects related to quality improvement, production efficiency, and sustainability across the supplier chain
- Maintain contact with suppliers to follow up on information, documents, action plans, and ongoing activities
- Develop approaches for engaging with the production chain
- Assist in defining the onboarding stages for new suppliers
- Lead and support the development of supplier policies, manuals, and procedures covering Soma's internal processes
- Assist in preparing reports
- Manage the Group's supplier communications email account
- Promote the communication of initiatives to the market and investors
- Assist in developing internal and external communication platforms for suppliers and investors
- Support initiatives under the Conecta+ Program, Productive Linkages, and Supplier Convention
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing a degree in Production Engineering with an emphasis on Apparel Manufacturing, Business Administration, Fashion, or related fields
- Interest in the apparel industry, fashion, and the production chain
- Knowledge of Canva and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills and ability to track deadlines
- Comfortable working with data and indicators
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical, proactive, and curious mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities simultaneously
- Interest in quality, process improvement, and sustainability topics
