About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the global record-to-report ecosystem and establish the controllership vision
- Lead accounting operations across general ledger, financial reporting, internal controls, technical accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit, payroll, fixed assets, tax compliance, treasury, and travel and expense
- Deliver accurate, timely, and consistent financial results and balance-sheet insights
- Standardize and continuously improve global finance and accounting processes, policies, controls, and reporting practices
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global accounting team
- Lead financial analysis and reporting, including trend reviews, multiyear models, and accounting-treatment assessments
- Oversee annual budgeting and high-level quarterly forecasts
- Partner with regional finance teams and business functions on accounting issues and consistent policy, process, and control application
- Redirect automation-created capacity toward balance-sheet analysis and decision support
- Support global treasury strategy, banking structures, external financing, and internal funding mechanisms
- Own group audits and partner with external audit firms across jurisdictions
- Lead special projects and controllership initiatives
- Standardize accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls and introduce automated controls
- Oversee global tax processes and filings with regional finance teams and tax advisors
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of related management experience in a controllership role within a multinational manufacturing organization
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Excellent knowledge and experience working with ERPs; JD Edwards EnterpriseOne preferred
- Experience with consolidation, budgeting, and data warehouse software
- Related management accounting experience, preferably in a global/multinational manufacturing environment
- Understanding of best practices in cost accounting, financial analysis, internal controls, budgeting/forecasting, consolidations, and FX
- Strong integrated business process knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and counsel at all levels of the organization
