About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the accounting/finance department with month-end close
  • Support compiling financial information
  • Complete special projects
  • Maintain and prepare general ledger account reconciliations
  • Analyze monthly account activity and prepare related journal entries
  • Prepare cash receipt entries for check deposit, wire, and ACH transactions
  • Prepare revenue recognition journal entries and coordinate with the commissions team on direct cash revenue transactions
  • Prepare weekly bank and cash account reconciliations
  • Assemble and scan support documents and research cash transactions to determine general ledger coding
  • Assist with receivables and prepare accounts receivable reporting
  • Assist with intercompany account reconciliations and occupancy cost share allocations
  • Assist with monthly reporting by generating system reports and reconciling inventory positions
  • Assist with state and local personal property tax reports
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations using standard NetSuite reports
  • Assist management with audits, research inquiries, schedules, and reports
  • Process assigned tasks according to daily requirements and monthly close schedule
  • Protect confidential information
  • Complete accounting department and organizational tasks as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum one-year of relevant work experience in accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel and Outlook
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Ability to perform responsibilities as a team member
  • Basic understanding of the general ledger close process and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Self-starter with good communication skills
  • Deadline-oriented with good time management and organizational skills
