About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prioritize, conceptualize, co-design, build, test, and engage users for product concepts
- Own delivery of major projects, including shipping code and rallying and supporting team members
- Participate in quarterly planning to identify key projects
- Mentor engineers during planning, prototyping, and implementation
- Respond to incidents, write postmortems, and improve tooling and infrastructure
- Identify and optimize costly, slow, or unstable infrastructure
- Discuss early designs and prototypes with designers and product managers
- Unblock operational team members on data analysis projects
- Lead engineering brainstorms to improve effectiveness and quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10 or more years of experience building products and systems in production
- Strong backend/infrastructure skills and interest in applying them to products
- Comfortable working with backend and frontend technologies, with deeper backend/infrastructure experience
- Amazing communication skills
- Ability to manage time and competing priorities
- Curiosity
- High ownership mentality
