About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the primary point of contact for customer-affecting technical issues and lead real-time incident resolution
Adhere to incident management protocols and drive post-mortems capturing process improvements and root-cause analyses
Monitor and respond to Zabbix, Grafana, and OpenSearch alerts, performing remediation or managing escalations
Ensure the health and reliability of storage pods across all sites
Define and refine monitoring alert definitions
Diagnose hardware replacements, troubleshoot systems, and execute configuration changes using Ansible and Git repositories
Support Data Center Technicians with advanced pod troubleshooting, deployment queries, migration issues, and Ansible playbooks
Manage pre-deployment configuration and testing for Vault systems
Initiate Vault migrations and perform health checks on migration pods
Use Jenkins to deploy code updates across all environments
Identify and escalate network anomalies
Document network IP assignments for upcoming deployments
Track server farm releases and updates
Identify opportunities to automate daily operational tasks and document workflow procedures
Participate in an on-call rotation, including work outside standard business hours when operational needs arise

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be based in the United States and eligible to work without visa sponsorship
2–4 years of hands-on experience in Systems Administration, Linux Operations, or SRE environments
Strong foundational understanding of Linux systems
Proficiency with command-line interfaces
Understanding of network cabling/topologies
Understanding of IP network classifications
Analytical problem-solving mindset
Ability and drive to troubleshoot complex hardware/software interactions
Ability and drive to automate repetitive tasks
Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
