About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide overall leadership and direction of the coffeehouse in partnership with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager
Ensure the team understands brand standards, expectations, products, cleanliness, new directives, and Guest connections during the shift
Demonstrate mastery of every Team Member responsibility
Lead shifts, keep the team engaged, maintain energy, and keep the shift on track
Optimize product sales, manage waste, and maintain an inviting coffeehouse environment
Communicate daily deployment and floor roles to keep the shift moving
Anticipate competing priorities and delegate objectives and tasks
Take ownership of the current shift and ensure a smooth hand-off
Ensure standard operating procedures and standards for quality, cash handling, store safety, and security
Coach and train team members on responsibilities, product knowledge, promotions, recipe preparation, and guest-request adjustments
Complete administrative tasks including bank deposits, inventory, and product orders
Develop Team Members through in-the-moment coaching and feedback
Act as Manager on Duty and make decisions calmly under pressure
Build an inclusive culture and take ownership of personal growth and impact
Train new team members
Arrive on time and prepared for every scheduled shift

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 6 months of experience in a leadership role, or properly trained and approved to take on Shift Leader responsibilities
Flexible availability to work different days, times, or shifts as business and operational needs change
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
