About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare commercial proposals, integrate technical content, lead contract negotiation, and ensure compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment
- Coordinate end-to-end proposal development by reviewing customer inquiries, analyzing technical specifications, selecting appropriate equipment, and generating tailored proposals
- Work with Regional Sales Leaders and Sales Managers to develop strategies supporting the Lufkin PT Orders Plan for new units and services in the assigned region
- Support or lead Technology Solutions discussions with customers before Request for Quote stages
- Translate customer needs into actionable solutions from initial inquiry to final order approval
- Provide commercial insight at Deal Reviews, including risk assessment and mitigation, terms and conditions, financial analysis, and pricing strategy
- Support handover meetings with OTR to communicate as-sold pricing and scope of supply
- Perform other duties as assigned according to business needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university or college such as Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Engineering; Industrial Distribution or equivalent will also be considered
- Ability to travel up to 25% at times in support of customer meetings
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Effective computer skills with competence in basic Microsoft Office programs suite
- Ability to manage change in an evolving/fluid environment
- Energy Technology Background
- Enclosed Gearbox Domain Expertise
- Experience in Energy, Marine, or O&G related industries is a plus
- Sales, Commercial or Project Management experience is a plus
- Rotating equipment experience is a plus
- Experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
- Experience in creation of Microsoft Copilot Studio Agent, and its supporting Microsoft Programs
- Valid work authorization in the country of employment
- Employer is unable to sponsor work authorization for this role
