About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate as subject matter expert for A&C New Product Introduction, ensuring adherence to BH-QUA-38 stage gates
- Chair technical reviews for new product introductions
- Consolidate and approve Technology Readiness Level assessments
- Prepare Technical Maturity Assessments for new product development
- Govern technical maturity gap closure activities
- Lead technology acceptance activities with customers
- Govern intellectual property and product safety assessments
- Approve technical risks associated with new product introductions
- Establish technical partnerships between NPI and Execution A&C teams
- Create lifecycle feedback loops incorporating project, manufacturing, field performance, and lessons learned
- Agree technical ownership and approval responsibilities at lifecycle transitions
- Provide technical governance and direction across NPI and Execution organizations
- Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing and best practices
- Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure new product manufacturability
- Interface with customers and support Product Management with technical guidance and requirements gathering
- Collaborate on test and qualification procedures
- Ensure compliance with engineering governance, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Provide expert guidance on product design, validation, qualification, and industrialization
- Review technical documentation, specifications, test plans, verification reports, and configuration deliverables
- Contribute to product roadmaps, feasibility assessments, and technology development discussions
- Ensure harmonisation across current and future NPI programmes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
- Significant experience in Automation & Control Engineering, ideally within New Product Introduction (NPI), product development, or industrial technology environments
- Strong technical leadership and ability to influence engineering decisions across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in the design, development, and implementation of industrial control systems and automation solutions
- Solid understanding of engineering standards, risk management, and product lifecycle development processes
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within global, cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
