About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist Seniors, Managers and Partners in conducting financial due diligence on middle-market companies across various industries
- Conduct analytical reviews of data and prepare findings
- Create draft reports for management review
- Research issues arising during engagements
- Assist project managers, clients, and peers on various consulting engagements
- Support tax due diligence, tax structuring, quantitative tax modeling, transaction agreement review and consultation, and tax technical support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or a related field required
- CPA preferred
- If not a CPA, must meet educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon hire in state of employment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire
- Baker Tilly will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- Previous experience in a public accounting firm or law firm preferred
- Previous experience in tax due diligence and mergers and acquisitions tax consulting preferred
- Able to understand problems, think critically, research and identify creative solutions
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others
- Self-directed professional who takes initiative for professional growth and development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint)
- Ability to travel as needed, approximately 15%
