About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide assurance and consulting services to industry-specific clients
  • Engage proactively with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges
  • Implement testing to assess internal control deficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Manage fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery of results
  • Provide financial statement guidance and business recommendations
  • Deliver business insight through review, analysis, and discussion
  • Assist with client engagement staffing, billings, and collections
  • Ensure client profitability targets are met
  • Network and build relationships internally, externally, with clients, and with the community
  • Participate in firm-wide learning and development programs
  • Support team members' growth and development through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy
  • Mentor and coach talented staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4-year degree
  • CPA
  • Five (5) years of experience
  • Five (5)+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services within a public accounting firm
  • Two (2)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates
  • Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and supervise others
  • Exceptional client service skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning
  • Ethical knowledge and commitment
  • Commitment to quality and timely completion of projects
  • Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred
