About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Private Client sector in an assigned territory
- Build, manage, and expand client and referral relationships
- Partner with practice leaders to shape and execute go-to-market strategies and market-focused growth initiatives
- Develop innovative, value-driven solutions for high-net-worth individuals, family enterprises, privately held business owners, family offices, trusts, estates, foundations, and their advisors
- Monitor and communicate emerging tax, wealth planning, estate and gift planning, family office, succession, liquidity, and generational wealth trends
- Lead sales techniques and strategies integrating services across lines of service and geographies
- Build relationships with family office executives, attorneys, wealth advisors, private client bankers, trust officers, investment advisors, business owners, and other centers of influence
- Follow up on firm-generated leads and practice leadership requests
- Inform practice leadership of market dynamics affecting strategically important accounts
- Document opportunity notes and activities in Salesforce and maintain an accurate qualified-opportunity pipeline
- Attain closed-business revenue goals for new and existing client accounts
- Participate in market development meetings and in-house discussions
- Create, sustain, and grow client relationships while maintaining satisfaction and resolving issues
- Collaborate with BD and practice leaders on an integrated Go-to-Market approach
- Perform account planning and key account research
- Conduct outreach and coordinate marketing campaigns to secure appointments with referral sources and prospective clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree
- 10+ years of experience in Private Client, Family Office, Trust and Estate, Wealth Management, Private Company Advisory, Tax Advisory, related industries, or professional services supporting these sectors, required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience selling or delivering tax, assurance, and/or consulting services within relevant advisory environments, required
- Demonstrated understanding of wealth transfer planning, estate and gift taxation, trust and fiduciary matters, family office operations, business succession planning, family enterprise governance, and complex advisory needs of affluent individuals and families
- Experience building relationships with centers of influence, referral networks, and executive-level decision-makers within the Private Client ecosystem
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and thought leadership skills
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies and digital solutions supporting client service delivery, relationship management, and business development
- Ability to work under a defined and planned directive with minimal direct day-to-day supervision for implementation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% as needed
