About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage multiple valuation consulting engagements from planning through completion
  • Perform and oversee financial statement analysis, valuation analyses, industry and economic research, and valuation report preparation and review
  • Conduct management interviews and site visits to understand clients’ businesses, operations, financial performance, and value drivers
  • Apply financial analysis, valuation methodologies, accounting principles, operational data, performance measures, and industry benchmarks to identify insights
  • Define engagement scope and objectives, manage resources and timelines, resolve issues, and deliver client commitments within budget and realization goals
  • Ensure engagements comply with professional standards, legal and regulatory requirements, and firm requirements
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on complex financial and business matters
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members
  • Improve processes, operational efficiency, engagement execution, and client experience
  • Support strategic growth and development of the Valuation practice
  • Contribute to proposals, presentations, marketing materials, thought leadership, and digital campaigns
  • Build client and professional relationships through networking, events, presentations, conferences, and webinars
  • Collaborate across offices, service lines, and industry groups to expand capabilities and support firm-wide growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field required
  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of valuation or related financial advisory experience
  • Demonstrated experience performing valuations for financial reporting purposes
  • Strong understanding of fair value measurement principles and U.S. GAAP financial reporting requirements, including ASC 820 and related valuation guidance
  • Experience with purchase price allocations, business enterprise valuations, intangible asset valuations, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment testing, and other financial reporting valuation engagements strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of income, market, and cost valuation approaches
  • Strong financial modeling skills and experience analyzing historical and projected financial statements, management forecasts, market data, and valuation assumptions
  • CFA, ASA, CVA or ABV designation preferred
  • Experience managing multiple engagements and leading professional teams
  • Experience contributing to thought leadership activities preferred
  • Experience supporting mid-market clients preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical valuation concepts to clients, auditors, and stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, project management, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
