About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work closely with client executives and management teams to understand their businesses and assist in identifying and managing financial and operational risks within business systems
Develop in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries through direct client interaction while working on multiple aspects of engagements
Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on clients’ operations, processes and objectives
Assist clients with implementing new processes and controls addressing key risks
Assess, manage and optimize information technology risk across cybersecurity, IT strategy and governance, regulatory and compliance requirements, and business continuity
Review client processes and controls against industry frameworks, identify design and execution gaps, and communicate issues and recommendations
Assist in developing audit programs and executing internal audits and IT control assessments covering IT governance, IT operations, business continuity and disaster recovery, cybersecurity, third-party risk, ITGC and application controls, SOC reporting, HITRUST engagements, and regulatory and compliance requirements
Draft executive summaries and final client reports; document and review engagement work papers according to internal audit methodologies
Act as a business advisor, build client relationships, and communicate effectively to provide superior client service
Develop knowledge and experience with varied technology environments, platforms, applications and tools/utilities
Network and build strong internal and external client relationships
Participate in team outings and social activities encouraging work-life balance

Requirements

What you’ll need

4 year degree
One (1) year of experience
Bachelor’s degree in management/computer information systems, computer science, accounting information systems, computer engineering, industrial engineering, or related program preferred
CISA, CISSP, CISM, CIA, or CPA certification(s) preferred
1+ year(s) experience with IT audit or cybersecurity; previous experience performing SOX and SOC audits preferred
Experience performing HITRUST engagements preferred; open to candidates willing to obtain HITRUST Certification in the future
Experience as a client serving professional for a consulting firm desired
Experience with Cloud audit and certifications preferred
Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills, with strong attention to detail
Exceptional verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills
