About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, affluent families, family offices, private businesses and investment entities
  • Prepare and review complex individual, trust, estate, gift and state tax returns and international disclosures
  • Analyze international holdings for disclosure purposes
  • Assist clients with planning around foreign assets and minimizing global taxation
  • Deliver proactive tax planning and strategic consulting involving federal estate, gift, charitable planning and generation-skipping tax
  • Keep current with trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to complex situations
  • Network and build strong internal and external client relationships
  • Support team member growth through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4-year degree
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Eligible to obtain CPA, JD, or EA
  • 3 years of professional experience
  • Two (2) + year(s) experience in tax return preparation and planning for wealthy individuals, family members and their trusts, investment entities, and private businesses
  • Two (2) + year(s) experience in international asset disclosure preparation for individuals with foreign accounts, businesses, trusts, and other foreign investments
  • Actively pursuing a CPA, MST or JD/LLM preferred
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S., without sponsorship, highly preferred
  • Interest in assisting affluent families and individuals enhance and preserve their wealth
