About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Grow and manage the New York-based Valuation Consulting team
  • Develop an area of valuation expertise
  • Manage and perform consulting engagements
  • Network and build internal and external relationships, especially with private equity firms
  • Acquire new repeat referral sources, clients, projects and revenue
  • Collaborate with other offices and industry groups to manage and develop consulting practices
  • Attend valuation industry trade shows and conferences
  • Participate in firm-wide marketing and sales programs
  • Develop training programs for existing clients and prospects
  • Present topics at valuation seminars and webinars
  • Write or co-author articles for valuation publications and periodicals
  • Develop and participate in public speaking opportunities
  • Provide project management and practice development using technical knowledge
  • Manage cross-functional teams and ensure client profitability targets are met
  • Support the growth and development of team members
  • Work with firm leadership to serve clients and build the valuation business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or economics required
  • CPA, CFA or ASA designation required
  • Minimum fifteen (15+) years of related experience in a complex organization required
  • Demonstrated involvement with building and leading high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture
  • History of relationships with private equity firms and their portfolio companies
  • Prior success in leading key business development, project delivery and practice development activities required
  • Established network and participation in market-facing activities such as industry presentations, webcasts and professional networking events
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize while simultaneously managing multiple client engagements and priorities
  • Ability to lead and supervise others
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current regarding applicable strategies
  • Appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment
  • Ability to complete projects timely and to quality standards
  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 30%
