About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in large-scale capital projects related to launching new products at existing plants or new manufacturing facilities
- Prepare cost estimates, product specifications, and machine tooling specifications
- Manage projects for the development and procurement of tooling
- Lead capital projects focused on reducing metal usage (lightweighting) in aluminum packaging
- Support strategic planning by assessing the feasibility, costs, and benefits of new and lightweight products
- Provide on-site and remote technical support related to products, tooling, manufacturing processes, and technical specifications
- Support operations in continuous improvements to quality and efficiency, as well as reductions in scrap and operating costs
- Analyze processes, tooling designs, and modification trials
- Support the standardization and efficiency improvement of toolrooms by developing and conducting audits, preparing best practices, and driving action plans
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of tooling supplier quality
- Develop training materials and technical procedures
- Maintain Engineering department systems and databases
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in project management, scope definition, and schedule development
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel, approximately 40% to 50% of the time
- Intermediate English proficiency is a plus
