About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run and monitor assigned production equipment safely and reliably
- Follow standard operating procedures for a specific machine or process step
- Respond to basic equipment stops and escalate abnormalities
- Follow safety protocols, use PPE properly, and participate in safety audits or checks
- Identify and report equipment or process abnormalities
- Support basic troubleshooting, cleaning, housekeeping, and regular checks under supervision
- Perform visual and dimensional quality checks and report non-conformities
- Minimize material waste through correct handling and operation
- Participate in on-the-job training and learning activities
- Build knowledge of upstream/downstream process impact, equipment settings, and quality drivers
- Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving activities
- Maintain a clear, organized work area and suggest improvements to routines or ergonomics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Production Technician I: No experience required
- Production Technician I: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Production Technician I: Basic computer skills
- Production Technician II: 2+ years of job-related experience operating equipment in a technical, mechanical or industrial setting
- Production Technician II: Working knowledge of basic mechanics, hand tools and measurement gauges
- Production Technician II: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Production Technician II: Basic computer skills
- Ability to operate production machinery and ensure continuous production
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to conduct quality checks and record results
- Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
- Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending written materials clearly in the local language relevant to the role
- Ability to communicate and report issues effectively
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems and tools
- Ability to use visual and basic measurement tools
- Ability to identify and assist in resolving simple line stops or alarms
- Ability to rotate between machines and switch between tasks
- Understanding of start-up/shutdown procedures and safety protocols
